Mazda 3 SQ

Postby Casper » Thu Aug 06, 2015 9:25 am

I recently went to a car show and got a chance to sit in a car with a high end SQ install and i was immediately hooked. I want a similar set up but i'm working on a budget. i've already bought a few things and im hoping to get advice from you guys on what else i need.

What i already have:
1. 4 Farad Fire Audio Capacitor
2. 4000W Targa Monoblock Amp
3. 2000W Ice power 4 Channel Amp
3. Alpine 4x7 for rear fill
4. Sony Xplod 1300 SVC sub.

I need advice on speakers for the front stage, the demo car i saw had a 3 way split system but im looking for a 2 way that wont break my budget. my limit it R1000 for it. my second question is do i need a pre amp and a crossover? also the sub i have has been in my car for the past few years as well as the ice power amp, do i now need to upgrade to a DVC sub? i plan on running a single sub because i do a lot of travelling and need the boot space. also how much would it cost to get some sound deadening to get more mid bass out of the speakers in the doors. after replacing the factory speakers in all went away. and if i took the sub out it sounded really bad.

Hey Casper

Which model Mazda 3 do you have? What size speakers are in the front doors?

Do you by any chance have the Bose system in your car, because if so, it's a bit more complicated to upgrade the sound system.

2016 Mazda CX-3 Individual
